SRUSHTI-2002 is a landmark in the field of technical education. The students of Polytechnic and Engineering colleges prepare projects every year as a part of their curriculum, using their talents and efforts. But, these unique achievements were unobserved as they were restricted to their institutions only.
 
SRIJAN" is a non- goverrnment organisation(NGO) organises "DIPEX" a state level exhibition-cum-competetion of working models has been welcomed by all cross section of society. It provides a unique platform for students to exhibit thier technical skills and interact with industry, academy and market. Dipex is organised every year at various places in Maharastra in association with Tantra Shikshan Vidyarthi Parishad forum of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad for technical students.
 
The Tantrik Shiskshan Vidyarthi Parishat (TSVP), technical students forum of the Akhila Bharathi Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP), conducted the exhibition cum competition -SRUSHTI-2002 of the working models prepared by Polytechnic and Engineering college students. To spot the talent give new orientation to the project work and pave way for the change of curricula in Engineering education and to bring about a better interaction among the budding engineers, industries, institutes, and entrepreneurs. Nearly 550 enthusiastic students throughout the state participated in the exhibition, organized in collaboration with management of Engineering colleges, Polytechnics, Industrialists, and VTU Belgaum.
 
Apart from these sessions the students felt the proper utilization of the natural Technical and human resources and also for need based project work. The industrialists briefed them about the latest trends and present needs and the entrepreneurs were successful in creating the awareness of entrepreneurship and how to go about in becoming one. The students got useful suggestion and tips for application of their work.
 
In order to appreciate the students, awards amounting to Rs 1.10 lakh were given away as prizes to students adjudged as the best in the categories. Although judging was difficult because of many good projects the appreciation was shown in the form of handsome prizes ever given before.
